Trumpler, Langro-Chemie, in cooperation with Reyes Chemistry, Turkiye distributor, shared the sustainable DyTan® system and the process in leather tanning with the Turkish leather industry.
Trumpler, a leader in leather chemicals since 1868, collaborated last year with Archroma, a global leader in specialty chemicals focused on sustainable solutions. It presented the DyTan® system and its breakthrough innovations in the leather production process, which can be used to produce high-performance leather in a more environmentally friendly and cost-effective way.
Trumpler, Langro-Chemie, in cooperation with its Turkish distributor Reyes Chemistry, organized a conference for the Turkish leather industry and leather engineers to introduce the DyTan® system. Mr. Wolfgang Glocknitzer,Mr. Joan Barenys, Mr. Manel Mallen Puche,Mr. Juan Vicente Pedro from Trumpler Langro-Chemie team participated in the conference and explained the sustainable solutions combining Trumpler’s innovations.
Mr. Yahya Tascan, Mr. Sadullah Tascan, leather engineer Ms. Ozge Sakız and Reyes Chemistry team from Reyes Chemistry family in Turkiye organized the conference presentation. A cocktail was organized before the presentation with the participation of guests from Turkiye’s leading companies, leather engineers and tannery employees. At the conference, which brought together leather engineers and leather veterans in the sector, both recognition and information and cooperation were discussed at the cocktail opening.
The presentation focused on the Trumpler DyTan® system, which offers an alternative to the current metal-free and chrome tanned leather and terms that will enable the reliable production of leather with excellent shaveability, excellent color depth and abrasion resistance. DyTan® is suitable for a wide range of leather applications, from apparel and footwear to automotive and furniture upholstery for today’s environmentally conscious leather producers and consumers. It was emphasized that DyTan has the potential to save up to 25% energy and reduce processing time in CO2 emissions by up to 23% compared to conventional chrome tanning through the Archroma One Way Impact Calculator.
At the end of the presentation, the guests shared their knowledge with leather engineers and guests at the exhibition of leather tanned with the DyTan® system in a special area organized by the Trumpler team and Reyes Chemistry, Turkiye Distributor.
