More than half of the people who declared to buy and own leather accessories and things said, that they buy natural leather products for the sake of leather’s longevity and its high quality.
An issue that should worry us is the percentage of people (24% of respondents) who were not aware that natural leather products are waste utilized in the slaughter of cattle. This shows a further need to educate consumers. Another, perhaps even more dangerous topic for us is the fact that half of the respondents believed that animals were bred specifically for skin production.
In our industry, it is very important to constantly be aware of the process that takes place during the production of natural leather products. At the Europell Group, we follow several important directions:
