“Sustainable Talks”, the sustainability forum of the global textile and textile products industry, organized its 5th edition with global speakers in Istanbul.
While the stands of global companies that make up the raw material and supply chain of textile and textile products took their place, hemp raw material companies, cotton, wool and fiber companies and natural solutions came together in a one-day event.
“Sustainable Talks” organized its 5th edition on December 3, 2024 this year and the dynamics of the sustainability-themed sector were discussed in the event that lasted throughout the session day with the names participating as speakers. Representatives of companies from the international textile industry and supply chain and sustainability experts of the sector discussed the policies and solutions of today’s world.
A series of speeches covering topics such as sustainability policies of the fashion, textile and apparel world, steps taken by the sector against the global climate crisis, solutions against environmental pollution, decarbonization strategies and innovative energy solutions were the main items on the agenda.
Within the scope of the event, the booths of global companies such as Archroma, which develops chemical solutions for the textile and leather industry, attracted great interest from visitors from the fashion and textile industry. In addition to Hemp production in the world and Turkey and the companies that offer solutions in this regard, the stands of natural Cotton production companies that support Regenerative agriculture were also the center of attention.
As Magazine Leather Publishing, we visited Ms. Gökçen from Turkey distributorship of YKK, which supplies accessories for many famous brands globally and produces accessories and zipper solutions. Brooke Roberts-Islam and Dr. Hakan Karaosman, who are experts in the field of sustainability for the textile and garment industry, were among the speakers at the conference.
