Fakhriddin Boboev, president of the Uzbek Leather and Footwear Association Uzcharmsanoat, held a joint meeting with officials of Mongolia’s TML company to implement new projects in the leather and shoe industry. Mongolian TML company, which operates in the field of recycling, will contribute to Uzbekistan’s leather and shoe industry.
At the meeting between the president of the Uzcharmsanoat association, Fakhriddin Boboev, and TML representatives, the parties discussed the issues of expanding bilateral relations and attracting investments of enterprises in the leather and shoe industry to Uzbekistan.
The Mongolian side highlighted the development of an attractive investment environment for foreign businesses in Uzbekistan and government aid that contributed to the increase in foreign investment flows. In addition to collaborating on leather and footwear projects, the company is also interested in selling finished leather products to Mongolia.,
To date, the trade turnover between the two countries has reached 7 million dollars. Uzbekistan and Mongolia aim to expand trade in fruits and vegetables, as well as meat, wool and cashmere products. Last September, TML representative office was opened in Uzbekistan, which gave the company the opportunity to develop in the market of various sectors. At the same time, 30-day visa-free travel is applied to each other’s citizens.
Uzbekistan’s leather and footwear association “Uzcharmsanoat” conducts research on domestic and foreign markets in the leather-shoes, fur, leather products and woolen products segments and enables the expansion of the export potential of the industries. The association also organizes the international fair “UzCharmExpo Eurasia”. Within the scope of the fair, which is planned to be held between 21-23 May 2024, companies and visitors in the field of leather, fur, footwear and accessories will meet for the 16th time.
