The International Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Associations (IULTCS) has announced the appointment of four new Commission Chairs.
With its 38th Congress taking place in Lyon, France, from 8-11 September 2025, IULTCS has announced the appointment of four new Commission Chairs. Each Chair was chosen for their commitment to the IULTCS organization, their leadership and vision, which stood out during the selection process, and the incumbents are confident that each will be successful in their new roles.
As Commission Chairs, they will play a crucial role in shaping future initiatives, fostering collaborations and driving positive change for IULTCS.
Here are the new commission chairs:
New IUC (Chemicals) Commission Chair:
Tiziana Gambicorti is the Standardization and Sustainability Manager at Biokimica SpA – Italy. In this role, she is responsible for the chemical analysis laboratory and is the leader of the project to “measure the sustainability” of the company’s products to improve environmental performance.
Chair of the new IUE (Environment) Commission:
Daniele Bacchi is the Manager of the Environmental Division at ITALPROGETTI. He is responsible for the company’s overall plant design, supervision of equipment construction, installation and commissioning projects, coordination of commercial activities and research and development.
New IUS (Sustainability) Commission Chair:
Kim A. de Sena is the Sustainability Director of JBS SA. He is responsible for the sustainability department of the company’s Leather Business Division. Her main activities include strategic planning, management of Life Cycle Assessments of materials, traceability and chain transparency projects.
Chair of the new IUR (Research) Commission:
Dr. Volker Rabe is head of wet end research and development at TFL Deutschland GmbH in Leverkusen, Germany.
