Desa rolled up its sleeves to produce bags for Europe with the production facility it established in Tuscany, Italy. An investment of 2 million Euros has been made so far for the R&D and production facility established in Italy. The facility, which will be established on an area of 2 thousand square meters, will be put into production in 2022.

Desa CEO Burak Çelet stated that 60 thousand bags will be produced at the facility in the first place, and that the collections and production they will prepare for world-famous luxury brands will take their place in the world.
Noting that this investment will be a 100% Desa subsidiary, Çelet said, “The investment is made with the company’s own resources. Our facility, which is designed to serve all luxury brands as ‘Made in Italy’, will serve the established brands in Italy and France in the first place.”
Starts in september
Explaining that they aim for the factory to start its operations and trial production in September, Çelet said, “In the first stage, we have made our plans to produce 60 thousand women’s bags annually. In the following years, we aim to increase this capacity both in our current location and in other regions of Italy.”
Burak Çelet also pointed out that they will purchase products from Turkish suppliers and said, “Using our own leathers in our leather processing factory in Çorlu, which has a closed area of 20 thousand square meters, will be our first priority. We are planning to finish the products, which we have completed in our Düzce and Istanbul facilities and turned into semi-finished products, in an integrated manner with the production unit we have set up in our facility in Italy.”
