Italian brands have organized internationalized fairs under Made in Italy with a large number of exhibitors and more than 40,821 trade visitors from 150 countries.
International events dedicated to leather goods and fashion accessories were held with the internationalized fairs of Italy. The 125th edition of MIPEL was organized with the support of Fiera Milano-Rho and was simultaneously attended by Micam, The One Milano, Milano Fashion&Jewels, Lineapelle and Simac Tanning Tech, as well as the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso. Claudia Sequi, President of Assopellettieri, also voiced the demands of her sector, asking for more government support for Made in Italy on two fronts: on the one hand, by supporting the participation of SMEs in the most important international trade fairs organized by the sector. Italy and catalyzed the presence of a large number of international buyers. On the other hand, it directly supported these fairs, which, with the high presence of Italian companies (65%), represent a real driving force of Made in Italy at international level.
Like MIPEL, which opened with a route of over 4,000 m2 and 200 brands selected from historic brands and emerging Italian and non-Italian companies, once again presented a complete vision of international scope in its new collections of bags and leather accessories. The main theme of the 125th edition was “The Journey”. In fact, from the setting to the creative concept, the venues of the event evoke one of the emblematic spaces of contemporary travel: The airport, experienced not as a simple transit point, but as a real place where the adventure begins.
The first day impressions of the Lineapelle fair met with its intense visitors, the visitors who found the common aspects of the simultaneous fairs made their company visits by switching to the Lineapelle fair. While Lineapelle gave an important place to science-based talks on fashion, it also allowed international organizations to visit student groups in the fair area.
The MiFur fair offered a comprehensive overview of leather and fur, allowing the visitors of the concurrent fairs to focus on The One Milano clothing and fashion theme. The participation of international fur companies in the MiFur Fair attracted the attention of visitors to the leather and leather goods fair.
The fairs presented as part of Made in Italy, where Italian organizations and associations focus on a common goal, demonstrate the economic circularity of Italy on a large scale.
