Turkish leather products company Desa started its R&D studies in 2022. At the end of the year, it signed an agreement and put it into operation in its 2.000 m2 facility in Tuscany, Italy. The first step was taken in the establishment of the research, development and production pillar in the facility, which serves as the production of world-famous luxury brands.
Desa stated that an investment of 2 million Euros will be made in the first 6 months for the investment that was announced last year and will be realized in the Tuscany region of Italy. With this investment, it will add new brands to the brands it produces. By holding a press conference at the end of 2022, Desa CEO Burak Çelet will contribute to our new customer portfolio. He stated that a total of 2 thousand people are employed in Turkey, and that they will employ 50 people in the production and R&D facility to be established in Italy and start production. The company’s goal is to revitalize the manufacturing environment by creating new highly specialized jobs and to create new value in an area known to be strong in the high-end leather goods profession.
